Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JustTranscribe (justtranscribe.ai) (the “Service”), operated from San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain, by JustTranscribe, legally represented by Unai Goikoetxea (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

JustTranscribe lets you submit a media URL or upload an audio/video file and receive an automated transcript, translation, and AI-generated analysis. The Service is provided during a free beta with usage limits (currently unlimited video analyses and 10 AI questions per account, subject to change). Features, limits, and availability may change or be discontinued at any time during the beta.

3. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for all activity under your account.
• Keep your credentials secure; notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use and your content

You are solely responsible for the URLs and files you submit (“Your Content”) and for the results you generate. You represent and warrant that:

• You own Your Content or have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to submit it and to have it transcribed, translated, and analyzed.
• Your use of Your Content does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, and does not violate the terms of service of any third-party platform (for example, the terms of the site the video is hosted on).
• You will not use the Service to process content that is illegal, that depicts or sexualizes minors, that infringes copyright, or that you are not authorized to process.

You agree not to: (a) abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent quotas, rate limits, or security controls; (b) access the Service through automated means except as we expressly permit; (c) reverse engineer or resell the Service; (d) upload malware or attempt to breach our systems; (e) use the Service to violate any law.

5. Intellectual property

As between you and us, you retain your rights in Your Content and in the transcripts and analyses generated from it. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you. The Service itself — including our software, design, brand, and the name “JustTranscribe” — is owned by us and protected by law; these Terms grant you no rights in it beyond use of the Service.

6. AI output disclaimer

Transcripts, translations, speaker labels, and analyses are generated by automated systems and may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Service is provided for informational and productivity purposes and must not be relied upon as a certified, verbatim, or legally accurate record. You are responsible for verifying output before relying on it.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” during beta. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, impose or change limits, or pause processing (including via automated spending controls) without liability, though we will try to give reasonable notice of material changes.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and without limiting the protections mandatory under Colombian consumer law (Law 1480 of 2011) where they apply to you: we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service is currently offered free of charge, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which during the free beta is zero, or the minimum amount required by applicable mandatory law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Colombian law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms — in particular any claim that Your Content or your use of the output infringed a third party’s rights or violated a third-party platform’s terms.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or create legal risk for us or others. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your settings.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bogotá D.C., Colombia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection forum available to you where you reside.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
