JustTranscribe

Instagram Video to Text

To convert an Instagram video to text, paste the Reel or post link below and press Analyze. JustTranscribe fetches the audio, transcribes it with timestamps, and layers on an AI analysis of the hook, scenes, and structure.

If Instagram blocks the fetch — it sometimes does — download the video and drop the file in instead; the result is identical.

First transcript free, no account. Works with Reels and video posts.

How it works

1

Copy the Instagram link

Open the Reel or video post and tap Share → Copy link. The account must be public.

2

Paste it above — or drop the file

We fetch and transcribe the audio with timestamps. Fetching Instagram is best-effort; uploading the file always works.

3

Search, translate, export

Full-text search with timestamps, translation into 111 languages, and exports to TXT, SRT, VTT, CSV, Markdown, PDF, or DOCX.

Formats & limits

What works today:

  • Public Reels and video posts (private accounts and Stories can't be fetched).
  • Direct file upload as a fallback — MP4, MOV, WEBM and more, up to 500MB / 150 minutes.
  • Spoken language detected automatically.
  • The first transcript is free with no account (up to 40 minutes); after that, a free account raises the limit to 150 minutes and 500 MB per file — unlimited transcripts during the beta, no card needed.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Reels?

Yes — public Reels and video posts. Stories and private-account content can't be fetched; for those, download the video and upload the file directly.

Why did my Instagram link fail?

Instagram aggressively rate-limits automated access, so some fetches fail. When that happens, download the video and drop the file into the box — you get the same transcript and analysis.

Is it free?

Yes. The first transcript is free with no account (up to 40 minutes); after that, a free account raises the limit to 150 minutes and 500 MB per file — unlimited transcripts during the beta, no card needed.

Can I get subtitles out of it?

Yes. Export the transcript as SRT or VTT and you have caption files ready for any editor.

What else do I get besides the text?

An AI breakdown of the video: hook, scene structure, key moments, pacing, persuasion techniques — plus a Q&A grounded in the transcript.

Need more than one transcript?

A free account keeps them all in a searchable library — with speaker labels, translation into 111 languages, exports and the AI summary. No card during the beta.
